found

Found Self,
magic erupts with a peaceful mind
heart ever-expanding
ever-lasting knowing...
fear escapes, inhabiting a new world
love is found within and
freedom downpours
bound by the sky
a limitless flight.

I've been so indecisive. I've thought I've known the answer, and then I have no idea. It's the realness that frightens me yet all she is, is freedom. Abundant offerings are found along the path of Truth.

I guess throughout the winter I did lose track of parts of me. A readily influenced, timid chameleon. All the busyness has left me dazed and docile. Fear has been holding hands tightly with Ego and one foot in front of the other they lead except, their destination is a foreign land.

The trees whisper clarity and paint me with answers. The stillness is freeing and the frozen winter is literally a frozen standstill.

A found self is reclaimed amidst peace. Peace is found in silence. Silence is found in stillness. Stillness is found in  us.

Wisdom lies beneath
and he's terribly patient.

Manifestation & Magic

I don’t even know where to begin! That’s how major my life changes have been these days. You know how I’m feeling? Infinite. By infinite I mean fully embracing my innate power as a human being. We are so powerful! So much is changing and shifting lately, and has been for many months now. Can you feel it?

I think back to my life years ago when I was mostly lead by fear and insecurity; treading along behind the rest because, well, that’s just how it was. Beneath the layers of shallow, dull living reside deep, powerful, full-forced infinite potential. We all have it within us. Accessing it is a matter of taking a step back, viewing our lives objectively, and, perhaps, arriving at an oftentimes completely unintentional life-altering, mind-blowing, terrifying yet ecstatic awakening. That’s what I experienced in my life, anyway. It did and still does involve a series of life-changing epiphanies and revelations.

When you put forth your true intentions and focus on what you want, you inevitably manifest your deepest desires. It’s all magic, quite frankly. Things appear in your life. This occurence actually reminds me of something I have been pondering lately. You know how we grow up learning about magic (and even going as far as villains who want to rule the world) only to be true in movies, existing as only a fairy-tale, a fabrication? Well, I have learned that those very things are actually real. Yep. You heard me. We are damn magical. I’m even a witch, who makes potions. Oh my!

When I say things can just *appear* in your life at the right time, just like you’d imagine such things by snapping your fingers, I’m being serious. We are capable of focusing on something that we want to manifest or appear in our lives, and literally have it come to be. Oh, Universe! How I enjoy relishing in your infiniteness!

What are you focusing on these days? And in turn, what are your current life manifestations? Are you manifesting what you want? You simply are where you are because that is what you are focusing on. :)

Pendulums, Incense & Connectedness

Yesterday I went out to my favourite place ever, Odyssey, a metaphysical shop. My intention was to get a new pendulum, in which I found very successfully and with great joy. I feel a lot of energy in my hands and felt very drawn to the lepidolite pendulum I scouted out after scanning the wall scattered with dangling gems and crystals. I was overjoyed indeed!

Lepidolite is very pretty, lavender-esque, and represents the Third Eye and Crown chakras.

I also picked up some incense – Sage, Cedar & Sweetgrass – along with a small sage candle. Sage is often used for the clearing and cleansing of energies. It’s very purifying indeed and the combination of incense I got smell absolutelydivine! When I got home, I infused myself in it all and warped into a space of calm, grounded centeredness. I felt SO very connected. To myself, my Higher Self, to Source, to that space inside of us that is ever-so-calm and free and true and at peace. You know that place?

I think one of the best things we can do is spend time by ourselves. Embrace solitude. Explore ourselves introspectively. It is through the beauty of solitude that we discover, transform, reflect, learn, unravel, release and become.

Journals & Synchronicity

Writing has always been a big part of my life. Ever since I was very young I've always had diaries and journals; scrap pieces of paper were always put to use with doodles and poetry. When it comes to finding my equilibrium, I recharge through solitude. I cocoon myself into a world of introspection and creative expression. Writing (as well as art) is a form of release for me: an outlet for my plethora of thoughts, feelings, questions, answers, ideas, imaginations, explanations, fears and joys. It's important for us to connect with that which brings us harmony and fulfillment.

I go through about two journals per year. I just finished my last one and so really wanted to treat myself to something special as the past year of my life has been quite intense - I wanted one to represent my new beginning. I've been going through a re-birth of sorts and it has been magical to say the least. To put it simply, I've just been wonder-struck at the power of dreams, intentions and manifestation.

What really blew me away though the other night after I purchased my new journal was the meaning behind it in which I discovered on the sticker attached to it. It wrote:

Almond Blossom Journal
Happiness: it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. - Vincent Van Gogh
~ Symbolizing new, invigorating, budding life, Vincent Van Gogh's Branch of an Almond Tree in Blossom inspires our creative souls to bloom.

Ah, synchronicity. My life has been full of nothing short of *newness*, *invigoration*, *budding* and *achievement*. I can very well correlate the stage of my life to that of a blossom. The meaning behind the artwork on the cover of this journal really couldn't have been any more fitting. I do believe that when we are in alignment with our joys and our highest good everything falls into place, and a lot of times it is confirmed via synchronistic events.

plans & anticipation

thunderstorm Sunday afternoon
Don't you just love thunderstorms? There is something enchanting about them. That distinct scent of rain, billowing of black clouds, cessation of wind before the downpour ensues.

I have been feeling overwhelmingly creative these days. My mind has been submerged in anticipation for what is quickly approaching in my life. In just a couple of weeks I will begin my newest life chapter; it feels as though I am bursting at the seams with excitement for the plethora of plans that I have. I will begin the process of collaborating my blogs, including free spirit journal, into one website where I will finally be able to have one space to share, express, connect and inspire through each of my many passions - spirituality, nutrition, life - as a Holistic Nutritionist.

My life for nearly a year now has been saturated in stress with having too much to do and simply not enough time to do it all. But somehow I've always managed to get everything done in the midst of chaos. This has actually been my theme for this month of July - perseverance, diligence and determination. In fact, July has been quite the month of lessons and themes. I've really been coming into my power of letting go and releasing fears pertaining to the ever-so-scary (but not really) opinions of others. Oh the liberation!

I am really looking forward to finding my balance again; re-connecting with my neglected creativity, harnessing my higher self and soaking in the silence of sunrises and meditation. Oh the thought of all that I desire to do makes me feel such peace!

Here is a quote I found yesterday from my newest blog muse over at the sacred life of rain:

Today I am exactly where I need to be in my one wild and precious life.

And we always are.

tick tock

Busy has been the essence of my daily life and a break is calling my name. Silence and space to breathe for a moment, paint a picture, do nothing. I'm patient, but I'm restless. Any day now. I can practically hear the ticking of the clock; the countdown to open~ness where my newest journey awaits.

Journey upon journey upon journey I'm finding myself sweeping glossy strokes of colourful paint across the canvas that is my life.

But in the midst of it all, what's really nice, you see, is taking a time out to let the sunbeams rest upon your skin; through the trees, against the breeze.

whole, connected and free

I am feeling very spiritually alive. Perhaps it is because of all the carrot and beet juice I've been drinking. Either way I feel whole, connected and free.

I'm learning so much it feels like my headspace is stretched open with all these new pathways of information; in my minds eye it looks like webs of all things that make sense and fit together. All through my life I was a bit educationally withdrawn and learning things in school didn't always come easy because I was often so uninterested and hated being forced to learn things that did not apply to me. In absolute contrast I am now absorbing so fluidly the concepts and information that I am eager to understand and so strongly interested in and passionate about. Everything makes sense.

Though so much in life never makes sense... there are many uncomfortably baffling things on my mind these days but now is not the time to discuss.

Yesterday in class we meditated and observed our energy fields and I am very excited to learn different techniques pertaining to energy work. Oh, the Universe! How I love the powerful force that it is!

A New Chapter!

004-5.jpg

The page has been turned to a new chapter in my life. I am going to attempt to coherently and accurately express how I feel about this new chapter to the best of my ability, though there is a great deal involved and it is all so spectacular and overwhelming at the same time.

This week was the start of my formal studies in Holistic Nutrition - a path I chose to take that comes deep from within and is the product of a lot of introspection and heart-following.

I am in the midst of adjusting to an entirely new routine. And I mean, a 180 degree turn. For nearly two years I was out of school and my daily life was comprised of plenty of free time which allowed for a great deal of growth, solitude and beautifulness. However now my days are essentially very full and I am discovering the importance of managing my time properly to ensure I have adequate space to complete all of my new found responsibilities.

The best part about this new busyness is that it is absolutely thrilling. I am learning such an enormous amount and it is everything I want to know about! I am simply a sponge. I am fully present and enthused and SO ready for this chapter! It has been such a lengthy wait, I really cannot explain all the details involved in just this post, but simply put... the time has finally come.

The night before my first day of classes I was reading through my course notes notebook and nearly cried at how surreal the information was at the start of the notes. Long story short, the first epiphany I had when I abruptly began awakening spiritually to an enormous range of things two years ago was simplicity and the very important concept of living simply, frugally, fully. The first thing that was discussed in my notes was exactly that. Immediately I realized this wave of paralleled happenings - how it has come back to me, two years later, full circle, in a whole new format yet the same information thus truly deepening and expanding this journey and path I am on. And with other information as well, this new chapter in my life has reintroduced me to those exact realizations and exact feelings I had a long time ago. It's like the beginning of my inner journey is almost identical to the beginning of this new journey...! So, it is hard for me to properly explain how surreal this unexpectedly became just due to the nature of how everything is so seemingly interrelated. But at the same time, it is hardly a surprise.

When you follow your callings you will inevitably land amongst such surreality and synchronicity and all other sorts of splendid circumstances that you have attracted into your life.

So, as I said before, I am currently just trying to focus on finding a new kind of balance in this new chapter, new journey. The fall is my favourite season and I have been yearning for some walks in the cool, windy air amongst the trees. I have also, almost desperately, been needing more meditation in my life and that I intend to nurture.

Just blowing in the breeze of life ~ ~ ~

Crisp Air & Twirling Forward

The sky this evening

The glow from the pink sky illuminates everything it touches and it's brilliant every time I stand below it, within it, become it. I am elated at the thought of autumn and the crisp air these days feels so good. I can even smell the season changing, I can sense it in all ways and I can feel change happening within me! Although I'm currently in a puzzle because I can't seem to grasp each fleeting, perpetuating moment as they float further into the future. In six days I will begin devouring my studies in holistic nutrition; academia in which I have been only dreaming about thus far. Dreaming and reaching and anticipating and it has been such a lengthy, lingering wait that my whole life for the past twenty months seems that of a blur. The growth, blooming and transforming I have done in that time has been wholesome and jubilant for me and I am oh but curious to find out how my life will unfold when I have a whole new kind of routine in place.

Although I have expanded spiritually and discovered many things I have also found myself with too much time on my hands for too long now; it has drained me on the days where I am not feeling so inspired but it has changed me on the days when I do. So, I will no longer be plagued with boredom at work or otherwise, a situation and environment for me that has lasted too long, for my primary focus and purpose will be that of passion, excitement, eager learning and an array of tangible kinships.

And yet it all seems unreal to me right now. Because, you see, life feels like a dream for me these days. I can't decipher whether or not it is due to the fact that so much has manifested for me or because I have been dreadfully overwhelmed with mental to-do lists or because I need to eat more kale. Either way, I'm sure when I begin settling into my "new lifestyle" of finally pursuing passions I'll be able to feel more grounded. Who knows, you know? I sure don't.

All I know is that September is here and it means a lot more than just school -- it means my darling boots and fun scarves and rusty fallen leaves and cool breezes and fresher air and the harmony between feeling chilly and comfortable. It means birthing out of some sort of encapsulated Universe I have lived in for a long time, however amazing or changing it has been, it is still nonetheless time for some tactile moving and twirling forward...
